The Shawshank Redemption

Andy Dufresne, a successful banker, is wrongly convicted of murdering his wife and her lover and sentenced to life imprisonment at Shawshank State Penitentiary. Despite facing brutal conditions, corruption, and violence, Andy maintains his dignity and hope. He befriends Ellis 'Red' Redding, a fellow inmate known for smuggling contraband. Over nearly two decades, Andy secretly digs a tunnel through his cell wall using a small rock hammer. He also uses his financial skills to gain favor with the corrupt warden, exposing the prison's money laundering schemes. Eventually, Andy escapes through the tunnel and exposes the warden's crimes. Red, after being paroled, follows Andy's trail to a beach in Mexico, where the two friends are finally reunited. The film is a powerful story about hope, friendship, resilience, and redemption.
